Ting Pang (Louis Koo) has earned his reputation after beating numerous swordsmen with his "Meteor Sword". However, his first love (Irene Wan) betrays him, enabling vicious swordsman Lau (Eddie Cheung) to kick him off a cliff during a martial arts tournament. Ting Pang accidentally drifts to a remote island, and the island owner teaches him the even more powerful "Full Moon Scimitar".
