Spock- the best for people search is a free people and information search engine that is similar to Google and Wikipedia in that it takes information on people from all across the Web and organizes it in an easy to search format. People can be searched by name, e-mail or by "tag" - information (e.g. lawyer, web developer, blind, curly hair, etc). These tags can be created by the user themselves, or by other Spock members. Opinions are voiced about a person by voting on a tag or picture. Within a search result are links to a person's other locations on the web (e.g. MySpace, Wikipedia, LinkedIn, blog, etc). I tried to use Spock’s search engine and searched for pro choice presidential candidates. Amazingly, the 2008 American Presidential Candidates prompted on my screen together with their tags, description, and image. When I clicked on presidential candidate’s name, a more detailed description about the candidate appeared. The page displays the candidate’s pictures, news, websites, tags, even the contact numbers of the candidate. You can also see the related people and read quotations from the candidate. Unlike other search engines, Spock.com gives you the ability to display the results in grid or in list. Also, you can embed a Spock search result in another webpage simply by copying and pasting the code provided by Spock.com like the one below.
