I assume that you’ve already heard or used Wikimapia, an online map and satellite imaging resource that combines Google Maps with a wiki system, allowing users to add information (in the form of a note) to any location on Earth. The first time I used it I realized that technology is indeed at its peak. Last time, I signed up to Twitter, a service where you can get in touch with people around the globe by sharing what you are doing. To do this, you just need to submit your musings (160 characters or less) via web, IM, or cellphone. You can also insert a widget in your blog by copying the code provided by Twitter so that your readers can have a scoop on your latest musings. Another service called Twittervision gives you a 3D view of what people are Twittering around the globe. Here’s a screenshot of Twittervision:
