Last time, a friend of mine sent me a text message saying,

HEALTH ADVISORY: It’s nice to have a cold drink AFTER a meal BUT the cold water will SOLIDIFY the OIL STUFF that you’ve just consumed. It will SLOW down digestion. Once this “sludge” reacts with the stomach acid, it will BREAK DOWN and be ABSORBED by the intestine faster than the solid food and will line the intestine. VERY SOON, THIS will TURN into FATS and LEAD TO CANCER. It’s BEST to DRINK HOT SOUP or WARM WATER after a meal. Happy eating!

I have researched in the Internet to find out if this is true and according to snopes.com,

The "drinking cold water causes cancer" rumor is a bit of an odd duck in that at first blush it appears to have much in common with a previously-circulated false belief about instant noodles posing a danger to consumers because the cups' wax linings were becoming their ingesters' wax linings and so causing deaths.
