Biography
Arthur Bernard Dolino Lui Pio (born February 8, 1982 in Quezon City, Philippines) is a Filipino musician, songwriter, and vocalist for the band Hale. The nickname of Arthur Bernard, which is Champ, came from his father's sheer delight of a local group called CHAMPOY, who won in a local singing competition the day before Champ was born. • Hale fans call themselves "Halers". They are widely known for their loyalty to the band. One fan even wrote an essay entitled "The Magnetism of Hale", excerpts of which were added into Hale's article in the second issue of Myx Magazine.

• While the second issue of Myx Magazine was entitled "Band Love", the main article where Hale and Kamikazee were featured was tentatively titled "The Day You Said Narda". Hale took the honor in 2005 while Kamikazee ruled the charts the next year.
From the Editor’s Desk
Wikipedia forgot to write in the trivia that I am a big fan of Hale and Champ. By the way, the first time I noticed Hale was when I heard their song The Day You Said Goodnight. Their theme suggests melancholiness which is evident in their songs and maybe this is one of the reasons why their songs attract teenagers and those who are young at heart. I never get tired of playing their songs over and over again and personally, one of my favorites is their song “Blue Sky.” The lines “Don’t you wash away that smile, just look at the window and see the light. It’s beautiful to be alive; it’s wonderful to live a life” are indeed inspiring. Anybody please give me a copy of their latest single, Twilight.
